inDemand digital transformation to Microsoft 365 

The Client

inDemand implement, integrate, sync, audit, provide strategic advice, bespoke solutions and assist with digital marketing, eCommerce channels, and marketplaces. They partner with retailers, brand owners, distributors and investors to deliver rapid multichannel eCommerce growth. 

The Problem

The inDemand business had been growing with additional staff and new customer requirements. However, their internal business systems at that time were disparate which caused:  

  • Difficulty in collaborating and communicating 

  • Inefficient manual processes and  

  • Poor data security. 

How we helped

inDemand partnered with 365 Assist to provide a program of works that would implement a fully integrated Microsoft 365 solution. 

The initial activity that 365 Assist conducted was to undertake an Analysis of Discovery. The deliverable was a Discovery Report that identified risks and issues with existing technology and process. The report also provided recommendations of which Microsoft 365 technologies could be implemented that would improve collaboration, communication, Automate processes and security. 

365 Assist then prepared an implementation plan that migrated from inDemand’s legacy systems to Microsoft 365 solutions. 365 Assist ensured that the transformation program occurred with a high level of effectiveness but with minimal impact on the inDemand operational work.  

The services that 365 Assist conducted as part of the transformation program included:

  • Reviewing and adjusting Microsoft 365 subscription licensing to ensure each user and the appropriate level of licensing. 

  • Migrating inDemand email services to Microsoft Exchange Online. Establishing appropriate shared mailboxes and migrate user emails from legacy email site to Exchange Online. This was planned carefully so as to not disrupt email communication and ensure all historical emails were migrated. 

  • Reviewing and configuring the Microsoft 365 Security recommendations to provide a level of system security that best suited inDemand. 

  • Effectively Training users to use the Microsoft 365 system.
